Privacy

What OpenThreads does with your data. Draft: needs legal review before launch.

What we keep

Your name, email and profile picture from your sign-in provider, and the threads, updates, photos and voice notes you add.

Who sees it

Only the people you share a tracker with, at the access level you choose. People who join through your drop link only see what they add. Nothing is public, and signed-out people can't see anything.

How it's stored

Photos and voice notes live in private storage and are only served through short-lived signed links.

Analytics

We count events like "thread created" to improve the product. We never put the content of your threads or updates, or your email, in analytics.

Deleting your data

Deleting your account anonymizes your profile. Your updates and the threads you created stay for the people you shared them with, shown as "Deleted user".
